Trade Assistant

Hands-on, Temp-to-Perm, Early Shifts + Overtime (if required)

Our client in Welshpool seeks Trade Assistants to manufacture large hydraulic hoses and chute repairs. Monday to Friday, 6 am-2.30 pm, $35 per hour plus penalties for any overtime.

Daily duties for manufacturing hoses:
- Using basic hand and power tools
- Wrapping moulds and pipes with rubber, wire and mesh
- Reading basic drawings

Daily duties for manufacturing ceramic wear plates:
- Marking out of liners for cutting and the use of a bandsaw
- Use bridge saws and brick saws to cut ceramic liners
- Reading basic drawings and mark outs of stud liners

Who fits best?
If you’re:
- An Australian Citizen or a candidate with Permanent Australian working rights
- Knowledgeable and experienced in operating power and hand tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Have an open Driver's Licence
- Eager to learn, ask questions, and show you’re coachable (most important!)
- Punctual, reliable and a communicator (attitude beats years on the tools)
- A team player who backs your mates and wants to develop skills
- Comfortable taking instructions and keen to evolve with the crew
- Wanting to build a career, not just collect a paycheque
