Fitout Site Manager

Itch has partnered with a busy commercial fitout crew in Perth’s northern suburbs who need a Site Manager that can keep sites safe, tidy and on‑programme while still building solid relationships with clients and trades.

The role in a nutshell
You’ll be the on‑site face of the business, running multiple commercial fitout and refurb projects from site set‑up through to handover.
Own day‑to‑day site delivery: set‑up, inductions, toolbox talks, daily briefings and close‑outs.
Drive safety – “Goal Zero” mindset, SWMS, inspections, Take 5s and timely reporting.
Salary on offer is up to to $160k + super + car allowance based on experience
Build and manage the programme on site, including 2‑week look‑aheads and coordination of all trades.
Keep quality high and defects low through regular checks, clear instructions and early problem‑solving.
Maintain paperwork: site diary, checklists, ITPs and basic progress reports so the PM isn’t guessing.
You’ll operate mainly across Perth metro, reporting into PMs and a Project Director who stays close to the detail but lets you run your sites.
What you’ll be doing day to day
Setting up sites properly: inductions, signage, access, protection and safety gear in place from day one.
Coordinating trades to hit milestones and keeping the programme honest with regular short‑term updates.
Conducting and documenting site inspections, toolbox talks, Take 5s and hazard observations.
Managing SWMS reviews, enforcing PPE and jumping on unsafe behaviours quickly and professionally.
Working through RFIs and design questions with the PM and consultants, flagging clashes before they cost time or money.
De‑snagging and closing out jobs fast, with minimal defects at PC and full close‑out within two weeks.
About you
You’re a hands‑on Site Manager or strong Site Supervisor ready for the next step.
5+ years’ experience running commercial fitout projects, ideally in occupied or tight‑access environments.
Solid understanding of the full fitout build process and how different trades impact each other.
Big on safety: you know the legislation, follow the systems and aren’t afraid to call things out on site.
Comfortable with programmes, site paperwork and basic reporting (MS Office, MS Project, document systems).
Strong communicator who can keep clients, PMs and subcontractors in the loop without the drama.
You’re the one people call when a project needs to be brought under control – calm, organised and solutions‑focused.
