Safety Advisor x 2

Our client is looking for two strong-voiced, determined and assertive candidates to take on a big role at one of WA’s largest privately-owned drilling companies.

A Kalgoorlie based business, you will be expected to fly to sites regularly, for no more than a few days at a time. You will have to expect the unexpected and plan for everything. If an emu wanders onto site, you have a practice in place. If workers want to build a human pyramid to reach something, you have an even better practice in place.
But jokes aside, our client values your opinion at the utmost of importance and you will provide key assistance to the GM in executing with health and safety management systems as well as being in charge of coordinating the implementation of site health and safety initiatives.
With a very impressive salary, family-friendly rosters, retention bonuses and the opportunity to work for one of WA’s most well known and successful businesses, this is a job you simply can't look past.

There is also a permanent opportunity in Kalgoorlie, and an attractive relocation package will be offered to relocate from anywhere in Australia (or even beyond for the right person)
Something that comes naturally to you after many years of experience, you will be proactive in assisting change management and risk assessment activities. As a perfectionist, you will ensure the quality of incident management and investigation processes is at its A-game and oversee site preparation and execution of HSE audits/ assessments.
Since you’re friends with everyone (Mr/Mrs Popular) you will have a strong understanding of what’s going on onsite, taking initiative to analyse site safety and health trends, thusly helping to provide problem-solving initiatives to issues identified. On your daily strolls you will pick up on any health, safety and environmental issues on site, reporting anything of interest.
You will be in charge of all health and safety improvements and will need to make sure everyone is aware of this and feel comfortable to come to you about any safety concerns.
The company knows it’s fundamental to find someone who will own this role as their own, responsible for educating everyone from the contractors and internal workforce to the managers and supervisors on all aspects of health and safety. You will be a loved mentor and trainer, a coach and a friend to all on-site and off.

The perfect candidate will be someone who finds themselves constantly thinking about every possible outcome of a situation and planning for it. You will be a problem solving master and a true legend on-site for this.
We need a safety geek - someone with expertise across the full spectrum of Safety, from site preparation and execution of HSE audits/assessments to being a team leader in the education and training of safety.
