Satellite Ground Station Manager

You know how they say it isn't rocket science? Well, IT IS ROCKET SCIENCE! Incredible opportunity to manage a state of the art satellite ground station facility near Geraldton WA, and be a part of the burgeoning space industry.

With your knowledge in satellite, RF and Telecommunications, you will manage a small but dedicated team to look after the daily maintenance and operations of the site. The facility is used to track space launches that occur on the other side of the globe, so you will be working in collaboration with other ground stations as part of an international team. There is an upgrade program with new equipment arriving, and you will be ensuring the build program is run smoothly and commissioning occurs within the required timeframe. The site also co hosts other satellite and space monitoring equipment from other international organisations, so you will need excellent communication and organisational skills to look after other clients equipment.

I've seen Star Wars, what else do I need?
- Previous management or project management experience is highly regarded in Satellite, RF Comms, or Telecommunications
- A Bachelor degree in Engineering, or similar relevant qualifications or experience in a related field. Project Management qualifications will be highly regarded
- A broad understanding of satellite ground station hardware, RF systems, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Able to work independently and lead others, make decisions, act and take responsibility even in situations of uncertainty and risk and solve advanced problems and complex situations
