Personal Housekeeper (Private Residence)

Location:

Cottesloe WA 6011, Australia

Job Type:

Permanent Part Time

Are you the kind of person who your friends ask to help them sort their wardrobes, reorganise their pantry or help prep a guest room? If keeping things sparkling, tidy and organised brings you that Marie Kondo kind of joy, you’ll love this role.

Our client is searching for a discreet and detail‑focused Personal Housekeeper who will care for their home and from time to time their nearby guest house like a beautifully run boutique hotel.

This is a long‑term, relationship‑focused role supporting a busy household of three adults and their much‑loved dog. Two adults work full‑time and one is mostly at home during the day.

About the Household

You’ll be welcomed into a warm, respectful home where your professionalism, judgment and eye for detail are valued.

The family understands the care, time and attention that goes into great housekeeping, and they’ll give you the space to settle into their routines, preferences and standards. You’ll often work around someone at home during the day, so being comfortable with discretion and a low‑key presence is important.

The family values open communication and if anything would make your day‑to‑day easier or help you do your best work, they want the chance to support you. Feeling at ease in someone else’s home takes time, but you’re warmly encouraged to make yourself comfortable: make a coffee and help yourself to the fridge or pantry while you’re there.

The Rhythm of the Role

You’ll be the steady daily presence, Monday to Friday, confidently taking ownership of what needs doing. You’ll be properly onboarded with clear guidance and from there you’ll have the independence to run your day without constant direction.

Our client is flexible with hours between 9:00am and 3:00pm. In your application, please indicate how many hours per week you are seeking, along with your preferred start and finish times within this window.

As an experienced housekeeper, day to day you’ll find yourself:
- Transforming the laundry basket from “overflowing” to “handled” – washing, drying, ironing, folding and caring for garments with the attention you’d give your own favourites. Strong applicants who don’t iron are still encouraged to apply.
- Regular dry‑cleaning coordination.
- Resetting the kitchen so its spotless and ready for the next meal: dishes done, surfaces gleaming, appliances wiped and everything back where it belongs.
- Keeping on top of weekly bedlinen changes.
- Maintaining clean, well‑presented bathrooms and bedrooms.
- Spotting what others don’t: the drawer that would work better rearranged, the cupboard that needs a declutter, the area that’s due for a deeper clean.
- delegating the occasional task to the stay‑at‑home member of the household.
- Updating the shopping list as supplies run low and completing a weekly fridge clean‑out.
- Occasionally resetting their second property after guests have stayed – fresh beds, clean bathrooms and a thoughtful restock.
- Providing light support such as bringing in parcels, popping out for the occasional errand or assisting with simple entertaining prep and pack‑down.

This role doesn’t involve regular grocery shopping or frequent errands, but you’ll be happy to step in as secondary support when needed.

Who This Will Suit
