Operations Manager - Drilling

Location:

Perth WA, Australia

Job Type:

Full Time

STARTING WITH YOU

I have known this client for quite some time so I knew what to expect when I spoke to them about this job. "The right person needs to know how to deal with a diverse range of people".

This business is all about building relationships, from their clients through to the guys on the ground through to the administration team all the way to the suppliers of the business.

So, one skill you NEED to bring with you to be successful in this role is an exceptional interpersonal communication skillset.

Drilling down further (pun intended), you will have an exemplary background in delivering bodies of work on-time, on-budget with safety always front of mind... but you would already expect this given your years in a similar role (at least 3 years).

LETS NOT DO DOT POINTS

This is the part of a recruitment ad that lists out a whole swag of "key responsibilities" and the like... but I am going to do something a BIT (another pun) different.

I said above that you need to come into this role with 3+ years experience, so you know what goes into the Job Description, what those key tasks are across the business and how to execute them... if you don't know then this isn't the role for you.

PS: I have a very comprehensive JD that we can go through at interview stage if this looks like the right role for you.

DO YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR BITS FROM YOUR CORES?

Reading the above puns I am sure you can pick up on the fact that we would love someone from a drilling (diamond top of the wish list) background but that doesn't rule you out if you want to move sideways from another mining services industry. This client built an amazing business through taking calculated chances and isn't about to stop doing that now... for the right person!

ALL PUNS ASIDE

This client has built (and continues to grow) an exceptional business and they have done this through delivering exceptional work time and time again... but they are also more than that. The leadership have created a culture that both nurtures and develops its people, ensuring they are always comfortably uncomfortable, and achieving their personal goals.

This is a high functioning and systematically run business, where there are strict processes and procedures in place that ensure their ongoing success.

They also reward their people for the work that they do with a remuneration and benefits package that reflects the role, you won't be left wanting.

BORED (LAST PUN) YET? LIKE TO KNOW MORE?

If you have read through the above and would like to apply for the role then I would love to hear from you.
