WHAT ARE YOU IN FOR?
To be clear, while this is a Manager role, it is not a people management role. You will be the Manager in the sense that you will manage the entire Itch marketing function. You will have the autonomy to shape the role, manage your own budget, work closely with the senior leadership team, and deliver projects from start to finish.
Our work environment is relaxed, but the role itself is high-impact. Marketing is a key driver of our business success and we are looking for someone who is strategic, hands-on and creative.
This is not an entry-level position. You will need to be a self-starter with strong initiative, creative direction and excellent organisational skills. You should be confident and experienced in working and communicating with senior leaders, and able to manage up when needed.
Recruitment moves quickly, so you will need to be proactive in gathering the content you need from the team to bring your vision to life. We are all excited to work with you and are collaborative by nature, so you will be set up for success and supported to deliver on your responsibilities.
You will be responsible for:
- Creating engaging and informative content for social media, email campaigns, and website in various formats including short-form video, stories, static image posts, EDMs, and blogs. Some of this will be done in collaboration with the rest of the team.
- Creating internal and external documents adhering to the Itch brand book. Not boring ones, choose if you want to use Canva or Adobe Creative Suite!
- Developing and executing marketing strategies in collaboration with management.
- Managing social media accounts and engaging with followers to increase brand awareness.
- Scheduling Social Media content using a scheduling tool.
- Analysing and reporting on the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns
- Updating and maintaining the Itch website with new blogs, job advertisements, and staff members as required.
- Identifying and attracting segmented target audiences though strategic copywriting and targeted campaigns.
THE NITTY GRITTY
The most important asset for us is someone who is able to “speak” in different voices. If you do your research, you’ll find Itch Group is a multidivisional agency and our target audiences are all different. We want someone who is happy to push the envelope and isn’t afraid to be a little bit cheeky.
- 4 years minimum experience in a senior marketing role.
- Demonstrated history of producing quality social media content.
- Understanding of social media best practices and experience managing social media accounts and running email campaigns.
- Experience building and managing websites, including a basic understanding of CMS.
- Knowledge of SEO and website optimisation best practices.
- Experience with paid advertising!
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong copywriting skills
- Ability to manage up and run your marketing budget
- Exposure to the recruitment industry is highly advantageous however not a requirement!
- Proficient – Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
