THE WHO, THE WHAT AND THE WHERE

Join an Automotive Performance Business who have been consistently bringing joy to people who love their vehicles for over 10 years. The best part is, if you live in Perth’s southern suburbs (the ‘deep south’), you don’t have to deal with commuting to the city.

Run by experts who are as passionate about the tech as they are about the customer, this is a small, family-owned and run business who know what their customers want and prioritise delivering quality work. Customers come to them excited and motivated by possibilities, and they do whatever they can to ensure they aren’t disappointed.

You will be working closely with the owner, who has high expectations. You will always know where you stand, and if you are the kind of person who is proactive, detail-oriented, and knows how to use their common sense, you will get along just fine! You can expect a good handover as the current leading hand is still around for a few weeks, passing on all their valuable knowledge.

WHAT’S INVOLVED?

Let’s take a look under the hood. You’ll be working in the office, as part of a great team, but we also need someone who is not afraid to be hands on when required. You can be a rev head, but what we are really looking for is someone with a keen interest in the high-performance industry. Full training will be provided in the performance-industry specific tasks that are required. Much like the pit crew at Bathurst, teamwork is crucial and as a key member, you will be expected to manage and build the team in a professional and friendly manner.

Here’s the nuts and bolts of it:
- Organising daily workshop jobs
- Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Managing a 3rd year apprentice
- Driveline Scan Tool & diagnostic experience
- Supporting dealer network with technical queries
- Sales and technical advice on the phone
- Quote and answer technical queries via info email
- Assist in growth and development of the brand

Here are the perks; this company genuinely wants to see you do well and will 100% support you in furthering your career and skills. Take your pick from courses and upskilling programs to better your knowledge and unlock your potential. If you can assist in growing the business, you will find yourself reaping the rewards, with a nice little side bonus. Might we also add, you will only be working on new cars AND you can use the workshop at any time over the weekends for your own vehicles and hobbies, sound good?

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

Ideally, we are seeking a dynamic, motivated leading hand with the following qualities:
- Well-spoken with great communication skills
- Efficient in Microsoft Office
- People management to some degree and enjoy working in a team
- Professionalism and well presented

Non-negotiables are:
- Mechanical trade qualification
- Drivers licence (manual)
- Police background check

THIS SOUNDS PERFECT! WHERE DO I SIGN UP?

To get yourself to the top of the pile, include a cover letter addressed to Emma Galloway and include an answer to the question:
What makes you passionate about the car industry?
