THE WHO, THE WHAT AND THE WHERE

Our client is an accounting practice who focus on providing strategic tax advice and business advisory to family businesses – with all the complexities that come with them. The business is not involved in audit, insolvency, ASX companies, or not-for-profits.

A young, vibrant team of enthusiastic professionals, they are dedicated to using the best technology and systems to ensure they maintain the highest quality of service and advice to their clients. They live by the motto “good is at the detriment of great” – so the standards are pretty high, but you will be given the tools and training to ensure you can meet, and ideally, constantly exceed expectations.

To top it all off, you will be working in a vibrant and ‘buzzing’ location with a great range of places for lunch, shopping at lunchtime, or heading out after work. The CBD offices are accessible by public transport from anywhere in the metro area, or there is parking nearby – or for the cycling enthusiasts, there are secure bike lockers and end-of-trip facilities.

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?

Apart from working with a great team of people, you have some really exciting perks and benefits such as:
- An extra 5% of your annual salary put towards learning for your CPD points
- Attending networking events where you are encouraged to grow your own network
- End of Financial Year and Christmas lunches at swanky restaurants

WHAT’S INVOLVED?

This firm is involved in providing strategic advice and business services to a wide range of (often high net worth) family-owned businesses; including tax compliance, self-managed super funds and business advisory such as restructuring, succession planning, and family life planning.

Your day-to-day will be preparing financial statements, income tax returns and activity statements, tracking tax returns for clients and following up when necessary, speaking with clients, liaising with the ATO, and supporting the team with ad-hoc duties as required.

Depending on your experience, business development and client account management can be massive parts of this role, so you will need to be comfortable delivering presentations to clients or taking clients out to the Basketball.
