Fitout Project Manager

Itch has teamed up with a well‑established commercial construction and fitout crew in Perth’s northern suburbs to find a Project Manager who can own a portfolio of projects from tender through to handover – and actually see the impact of their work.

The role in a nutshell
You’ll be the go‑to on a mix of fitout and refurb projects – reporting to a Construction Manager who backs their PMs and an MD who stays close to the work.
Take projects from client brief and award through scopes, programmes and trade coordination.
Keep safety front and centre – SWMS, reporting, “Goal Zero” mindset and leading by example on site.
Build proper relationships with clients – honest updates, solid reports, no spin.
Drive financials: budgets, cost control, progress claims, subcontractor claims, forecasting and final wash‑up.
Close projects out quickly, including defects and lessons learned, so the next one runs even better.

Who we’re looking for
You don’t need a massive ego. You do need to know how to run jobs properly.
5+ years’ Project Management experience in commercial construction and/or fit out/refurb, ideally with local WA knowledge.
Tertiary quals in Construction Management, Project Management, QS or similar – and a solid handle on contracts and project financials.
Proven record of delivering safe, quality projects on time, with solid GP at completion.
Confident with programmes (MS Project), report writing and managing multiple projects without dropping the ball.
Natural leader – you set the tone on site, mentor juniors, and keep consultants and subcontractors onside.
