WHAT’S INVOLVED?

You will be joining a team who cares about what they do, and really want to set you up to succeed. You’ll have to learn to walk before you run, so to speak. So, bring your best brain to soak up all the learnings!

As part of the senior management team and reporting to the CEO, this role controls the finances of a successful company along with the private interests of the business owner. So, your role will be to manage day-to-day accounting and transactions, with a focus on managing cash flow and debtors, generating timely and meaningful reports and building excellent relationships with suppliers such as banks, accountants, lawyers and insurance brokers. It looks a little like this:
- Monthly management and annual financial reporting
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Liaison with external advisors
- Assisting with the long-term strategic direction of the business by providing financial support to the CEO

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

You will be a commercially astute accounting professional who can be hands-on and has the following attributes:
- CA/CPA qualified and 5-10+ years’ experience
- Knowledge of financial accounting, compliance reporting, budget preparation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise responsibilities
- Ability to lead a small team to achieve business demands
- Proficiency in MYOB EXO, and the Microsoft Office suite
- The ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships, both internally and externally
- Experience in producing quality management reports
- Exposure to (and a keen interest in) strategic financial modelling
- An interest in supporting and contributing to the positive culture of the business
- A strong work ethic, which translates into a commitment to the success of the business- excellent business acumen
