THE WHO, THE WHAT AND THE WHERE

Our client is responsible for creating some of Perth’s most iconic outdoor spaces. They have staff longevity like we have never seen before, we’re talking 10-to-20-year retention so they must be doing something right! It’s a flat structure in an open plan office, moving to new offices in September to a very enviable location. If you’re looking for something super corporate, this isn’t the role for you. They are very big on values and have a strong commitment to teamwork and delivering the best outcome.

WHAT’S INVOLVED?

You’ll be the face of the business and there to ensure effective, efficient workflows and positive client outcomes throughout the business. There are 3 Directors to which you will be the layer in-between, like custard in a vanilla slice. It’s a management role, but that doesn’t involve wrapping everyone in red tape, the focus is more on investing in the team and fostering good internal relationships.

It looks a little something like this:

30% HR
Overseeing implementation, developing and managing staff, systems and procedures.

20% finance/planning/management
Assisting the Directors in ensuring compliance, maintaining records, and monitoring finances and budgets.

10% strategy/business development/marketing
Contributing ideas, overseeing and reviewing strategies and marketing in a creative environment.

10% systems/office
Supporting the Directors, managing office systems, IT, basically bringing the good vibes to the team day in, day out.

15% operations
Insurances, design and maintaining programs, policies, procedures, developing and controlling project costs (All the fun stuff!)

15% quality assurance
It’s all about integrity, maintaining customer satisfaction and focus and quality outcomes.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

This is an integral role within the business, and you will need to set an example for others in relation to fulfilling the values of the business and ensuring overarching goals are met. Because of the amazing team environment here, we are looking for someone who can slot in like the missing piece of the puzzle, so the right attitude and the ability to foster good relationships are a must. Accuracy and very high attention to detail are also top of the list. If you also have the following attributes, you will be great for this role:

- The ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with staff and clients

Previous experience in a similar role is also required.
